of Northwest Baptist Church

Nursery

Well-staffed nursery services are provided for those with children two years old and younger. The nursery is available during all services and we encourage those with young children to take advantage of this service.

Children’s Sunday School

“But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.” Through the Children’s Sunday School program, students of all ages are encouraged to develop a love for God and a desire to live for Him. We provide age-specific classes in an effort to teach and train our children to “love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.” – Deuteronomy 6:5

Adult Bible Classes

By God’s grace we seek to provide each individual an opportunity to learn more about the Christian life through the Sunday School program. The Adult Bible Classes are offered with a specific desire to minister to the unique needs of people in every stage of life. These include, the Homebuilders Class for young couples, the Auditorium Class taught by Pastor Edwards, an exciting and relevant class for Ladies Only, and the Abundant Life Class for senior adults. These classes meet every Sunday morning @ 10:00.

Northwest Baptist Academy

“The Pulpit, parents, and peer-presure all going the same direction.” God has enabled us to have a K-5 through 12th grade Christian School right here on our campus. Children from our church are given a learning environment that not only strives for acedemic excellence, but most of all to magnify the Lord Jesus Christ.

King’s Kids

Every Wednesday evening @ 7:00pm is an extra special time for children age 5 through sixth grade. Classes for all different ages include Bible memory, exciting Bible lessons, refreshments, and, from time to time, lively activities. Your kids will look forward to participating every week.

Sunshine Ministry

With a desire to minister to people from all walks of life, for decades we have held the Sunshine Class every Sunday morning for the mentally handicapped. Every week is an exciting time with singing and Bible teaching focused on ministering to, and encouraging every student in the class.

Youth Ministry

We are thrilled that our church has the priviledge of investing in the lives of young people. We take every opportunity to teach them the Word of God and encourage them to find and follow God’s will for their lives. Exciting activities are provided along with yearly youth camp trips.

Bus Ministry

One of the ways we are able to reach children and families in this day and time is through the avenue of the bus ministry.  The purpose of this ministry is to reach out to those who may not otherwise be able to attend church and bring them into the House of God to be under the sound preaching of God’s Word. If you would like a ride to church please visit the contact page for information on how to reach us.

Hands of Praise

The Hands of Praise Sunday school class was started for those in the community who are deaf and hard of hearing. In this class power point is used along with our curriculum to communicate the lessons that can be gleaned from God’s Word. There are regular activities, and fellowships. Join them every Sunday morning at 10am. If you would like more information about Hands of Praise please contact us via Sorenson at 419-386-2132 and ask for Vicki.

Music

Our church choir sings powerful psalms, hymns and spiritual songs during our services, as well as for special meetings and conferences. Special music is provided every service by soloist and ensembles from our membership.

Messengers

The purpose of our church is not only to spread the Gospel locally, but to as many people, in as many places, and through as many messengers as possible.  We are thrilled to partner with numerous messengers who will take the Gospel both at home and abroad and plant indigenous Bible-believing Baptist churches, reaching people, and training them to do the same.

Soul Winning Visitation

Romans 10:14 ”How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?” We believe it is the duty and responsibility of every child of God, regardless of age, race, or background, to be personally involved in spreading the Gospel, the good news of salvation.  Every week we actively seek to witness to the lost through our Soul Winning Program.

Here are the regularly scheduled visitation times:
Teen Soul Winning – Wednesday @4:30 pm
Church-wide Soul Winning – Thursday @ 6:00 pm
Saturday @ 10:00 am
